Huddiez.com is an online clothing store that offers unique handmade t-shirts that have designs from renowned Irish artist Shane Rafferty. Our website was founded as a celebration of Shane’s artistic journey through life and a display of his unique contemporary-abstract style that was created by delving into many different techniques and concepts

Why T-Shirts?

Shane’s artwork is often sold as large-format prints and they’re even displayed in prestigious institutions such as The Glasthule Gallery. However, in order to reach a wider audience and allow more people to experience and appreciate his art, we decided to create Huddiez to make the art accessible for more people in the form of a very common clothing item: the T-shirt.

T-shirts are everyday items that we all wear, but many of us stick to flat colours and regular patterns that don’t stand out and don’t create much of an impression. We believe that fashion should make a statement and reflect something that you feel or think, and Shane’s impressionist artwork helps to convey those messages. Shane’s designs help the shirts stand out as wearable pieces of artwork that will catch the eyes of people around you and pique their interest. Each shirt takes on one of Shane’s iconic designs such as “Have You Met The Family” and “I’ve No Idea”, and they’re available in a variety of base colours.

About Shane

19th century Impressionism left a profound mark on Shane’s art career. His artistic views are heavily inspired by artists that span from the 1920’s to the 1960’s, including well-known names such as Malevich, Mondrian and Pollock. Through dedication, hard work and inspirational figures that have filled his life over the past two decades, Shane has developed a personal art style that is unique to his own experiences.

Shane developed his artistic skills at an early age. He was first noticed by his family members and was encouraged by art teachers at school to pursue a career in art. At the tender age of 12, Shane won a Texaco Children’s Art competition and since then, he has continued to grow, remain consistent and develop new ideas.
